Scrabble by the Sea!

Who: Bruce and Ann Cameron Shuman invite you, NASPA members in good standing, to sunny Wilmington, NC.

What: To partake in a fully-sanctioned NASPA tournament directed by Ryan Fischer. A $75 registration gets you 15 rounds of Scrabble and includes two luncheons, catered by Ann Cameron! Menus to be determined. If you have any serious allergies or dietary concerns, please indicate so upon registration. Due to the newness of this event and uncertainty of attendance, divisions will be decided after registration is closed.

When: March 15-16, 2014

Where: Eastwood Village Clubhouse, 1237 Eastwood Road (at the East end of Two Mile Circle) Wilmington, NC 28405 (call Bruce or Ann Cameron at 910/256-9659 with questions)

Bring: Scrabble boards, tiles, racks, and clocks.

Pre-register, postmark by March 1st, 2014. Price to play increases $10 after that. Registration closes and is finalized March 12th, 2014 at 11:59 PM EST.

Bonus attraction: Eastwood Village lies only 3.4 miles from the Atlantic Ocean and beautiful Wrightsville Beach! A drive up and down Lumina Avenue (3.5 miles) is a highly recommended way to spend time before or after tournament hours.

Driving Directions
From the North and Northwest: Take I-40 to its end and continue on College Road, another mile or two. Turn left at the big green sign for Wrightsville Beach onto US74. Then follow directions below. (A)

From the South or West: Take US 74 East until you see the sign for the Battleship North Carolina memorial. Turn right and follow the road signs for US 74. past the battleship.and turn right onto the Isabel Holmes Bridge, then turn right. On bridge, keep right, and take ramp down and onto US 74, then follow directions below. (A)

(A) Proceed East towards Wrightsville Beach, past the Market Street, Racine Drive, and Cardinal Drive stoplights. The next stoplight is at the intersection of Eastwood Road and Rogersville Road, turn LEFT into Eastwood Village. At the first intersection, turn RIGHT onto Two Mile Circle East and drive to the end. There you will see tennis courts on your right and the Clubhouse in front of you. Park anywhere.
